Ovalmaltine Braided Sunstar Bread

Ingredients:
450g All Purpose Flour
70g cups of Sugar
2 teaspoons of Dried Yeast
A pinch of Salt
30g Unsalted Butter (melted)
180ml cup of warm Milk
2 Egg Yolks (keep the white to glaze the bread)
1 cup of Ovalmaltine (depends on individual)

To make the dough:
Mix all the dry ingredients (APF, sugar, salt and dried yeast) minutes. Add in 2 egg yolks (mix for 2 min) followed by the melted butter and milk. Mix everything for 10 mins. 5 mins alternate stop to adjust the dough and mix again till it soft.

After mixing everything, cover the mixing bowl with shrink wrap/ damp cloth and place it in a warm place. As for me, I just leave it in the kitchen and let it rest for 1 and half hour or till the dough rise.

Filling and Folding:
It's really my bad for not taking any picture of it. But all I did was roll the dough to loaf size long, cut it into 4, roll each of the dough to a thin round size and fill it with ovalmaltine. Repeat the steps again until the 3rd dough and the last dough will be the 'closing ceremony'. I've found a video that did the exact same steps as I did. Maybe you get the picture when you watch it.

p/s: Don't forget to bake it at 180'C  for 15 - 20 minutes and let it rest for half an hour before serving.

Good luck Love ;)

Because you asked me

Assalamualaikum and Hello everyone.
So I finally have spare time to blog today. And it's about what's my son's been drinking, feeding, snacking and blablabla.. Hehehehe..

Milk Formula: Abbott Similac Stage 2

I've stop breastfeeding completely when my son's turns 3 months old. It's not by choice but I was forced to stop due to my sickness (at the moment). Furethermore, I didn't have much milk in me, no matter how much I pump or massage.. By the time I want to take supplements (to have more milk), I have to stop.. It's really depressing for a new mum like me not to be able to give my son breastmilk fully.. I really feel like i'm a bad mum.. I cry and yes cry out loud when the doctor told me that I have to fully stop giving breastmilk.. Only my hubby and family knows how depressing I am at the point..

Eventho I did give my son formula milk at few weeks old, still, I did breastmilk him too.. Percentage of milk given are my breastmilk.. So when the doctor say NO MORE breastmilk, oh how my heart drop! :( But oh well, look at the bright side, alhamdulilah, with this PERFECT formula milk given to my precious son, he grown up to a VERY smart and healthy baby.. :D

Cereals: Nestle Cerelac Wheat and Honey

To tell you the truth, I started giving my son cerelac as early as 2 weeks old.. I add 1 teaspoon of cerelac to my breastmilk (warm it up).. When people found out that I'm giving my son cerelac at a very young age, they are totally surprised and of course I got "scolded" for it.. But hey, I just dowan my son to get hungry.. And up till now, he is still taking the same flavor.. I did try giving him other flavor, but he don't seems to like it.. It's either he don't like it or he don't pooped! :P

Baby Food/ Puree: Rafferty's Garden (any flavor except for Berry's)

Usually I cook for my son's his baby food/ puree.. But as a working mum, I really don't have time to do all that most of the time.. I did try giving him the Heinz or any other brand, but he don't seems to really enjoy it.. Thanks to my sis for recommending this baby food.. My son LOVE it really much.. He eats all kinda flavor except for the berry's (but he loves eating strawberry, weird?).. Since my son already turning 8 months plus, I'm thinking of  trying to get him the mash range or the smoothie.. Best of all, it's HALAL and NO other ingredients added in!!! As stated on the company logo, they are 100% HONEST.. Heheh.. Oh, I usually got this from NTUC Fairprice.. I did try searching at Cold Storage or Giant, but they don't seems to bring in this brand..

Teething Snacks: Baby Bites (wan wan brand)

I guess all of you know this brand.. This baby bites been bring in by a company called Wan Wan.. You know this snacks that all asian kids love to eat..
Baby Juice: Heinz Apple/ Pear Juice and Dried Winter Melon

Particularly, he loves apple/ pear.. So me and my husband have always got him this juice from Heinz and also dried winter melon from any chinese traditional store or of course the supermarket.. Giving the dried winter melon to drink is really good for baby who have jaundice and high fever.. :)

So mummy and daddy, good luck in trying all the snacks/ food that I've listed here and hope that your baby are loving it too..  :D
